How can I add a secondary owner to my pet’s policy and what permissions will they have?

To get a secondary owner added to your pet’s policy, please contact a member of our Care Team by phone at 1-855-600-7072.


Please include the following information: 

  • Your Policy Number
  • Your Full Name
  • Secondary Owner’s Full name
  • Relation to you 
  • Secondary Owner’s Phone number 
  • Secondary Owner’s Email address 

To add a secondary owner, this request must be made by the primary policyholder. If the primary policyholder has passed away, we can transfer the policy to the secondary owner. 

What permissions the secondary owner will have

The secondary owner will be able to:

  • Update the credit card on file 
  • Add or update direct deposit information 
  • Obtain or inquire about claim, coverage, or billing-related information 
  • Access any information related to the policy 

What permissions the secondary owner will not have access to

The secondary owner will not be able to:

  • Add themselves or anyone else as a secondary owner
  • Enroll or add a new pet
  • Cancel a policy 
  • Reinstate a cancelled policy
  • Transfer the policy to themselves or another person
  • Update coverage/deductibles
  • Update the primary policyholder's information (name, email, phone number, address, etc)
