What happens if my pet gets a condition in the last week of my annual policy term?

Your pet will be covered for this condition during your last week but coverage will become ineligible after renewal as it will become a pre-existing condition.

If your pet gets a condition in the last week of your policy year, your pet will only be eligible for diagnosis and treatment of that condition for the remaining time left in that policy year and the remaining monetary amount of insurance coverage for that policy year based on your chosen annual policy limit ($5,000 or $10,000). This condition will not be covered in the next year, as this will now be considered a pre-existing condition.

However, you’ll continue to have coverage – and peace of mind – that your pet is protected against the hundreds of new potential mishaps and illnesses that can affect your pet throughout their lifetime in future policy years.
