PHI Direct helps keep premiums lower year over year with our new-condition coverage, which is coverage that doesn’t penalize you for other pets’ claims. Our new-condition coverage covers your pet for all the new bumps, tumbles, or illnesses they may experience in a policy year – just not their pre-existing conditions. Once your pet has a pre-existing condition in a policy year, you’re still covered for everything else not related to that condition, including accidents and new illnesses for that year. If a condition becomes more longstanding, we believe pet owners will be in a better position to budget for the ongoing care, as the initial diagnosis and treatment of the illness or injury is typically when there are higher costs.
