How do I cancel my policy?

Our Care Team is able to help you cancel your PHI Direct policy for your pet.

In the unfortunate event that you want to cancel your policy with PHI Direct, you must request cancellation for your pet by calling our Care Team at 1-855-600-7072.


To cancel your policy, you will need to have the following information ready when you call:

  • Reason for cancellation
  • Your full name (the primary policyholder)
  • Policy number
  • Verify the address on file 
  • Verify the phone number on file 

Once we’ve received this information, your cancellation will take effect on the date we received your cancellation request. Please note, that if we don’t hear back from you within 72 hours of the initial request, we will keep your policy active, and the initial request date will no longer be valid.

What if my pet passes away? 

If your pet passes away, we’ll automatically backdate your cancellation to the date on which your pet passed away.
